What is a Sleep Study
Sleep Studies at CPAP Shepparton are conducted using the latest in home diagnostic study equipment.
A Sleep Study is a medical test which provides information about sleep quality, snoring, breathing, oxygen levels, heart rhythms and body movements which are recorded and analysed. The usual reason for performing a home base sleep study is for the detection of the most common and most important sleep disorder, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). Sleep studies can be performed at home or in hospital.
How to get a Sleep Study
A referral is required from your GP to the CPAP Shepparton for a sleep study. We will then contact you for an appointment or you may contact us on (03) 5822 1661.
You will be fitted with the device at this appointment and then go home to sleep in your own bed, returning the device in the morning to be downloaded and sent off for scoring.
Within a two week period you will be contacted for an appointment with a Sleep Physician to go through the results of your sleep study and if required, treatment options will be discussed.
